Chris has become very mobile recently.
My mother was visiting over the July 4th weekend, and Chris discovered that shoe laces were fun to untie. In the process, he discovered that he could reach all the shoe laces from the many people sitting on the couch if he just rolled over repeatedly. That was the beginning...
He became a master roller, then started to learn to scoot, and he's just days from crawling. For all intents and purposes, he is crawling. He moves both arms forward and either pushes or drags his legs along afterwards. I should start calling him the inch worm! He occasionally gets up on his hands and kness and rocks back and forth, but then he usually falls on his nose and resorts to the army crawl again.
Today, I was checking e-mail while Chris played on the living room floor. He was lying down when I started checking e-mail. I looked down again, and he was sitting! Yesterday, he'd wine until someone helped him sit-up when he wanted to go from laying down to sitting. Since this morning, he's sat himself up on his own at least 5 five times!
Chris says: Don't blink, mom...I'm learning and growing every day, and if you blink, you might miss something!
Here are a couple photos for your enjoyment...
I gave Chris an "empty" ear of sweet corn to check out. He was so exhausted from a long day, that he took ahold of the ear and then promptly fell asleep! (mid-July)
This photo is of Chris' first bath with toys! (last week)
